Let’s protect the new ‘normal’ – Self Defense Blog

There are questions that, if you are not looking for four feet to the cat, are easy to face and answer. This is the case of how we want to live, if locked up at home, with limitations and the threat of the pandemic or leading a normal life. When the second birthday of the day that normality suddenly ended, it is good to say things by name and not get lost in nuances.

The best face of Barcelona is found when the city beats without fear or limitations. The same thing happens in our DiR clubs. Listening to the reunion of the users, “hey, hello, how are you?”, Is very nice. It is priceless, it is proof that we are a great family. It is life itself! That the directed rooms have a rhythm again, that the ‘Bootcamp’ continues to surprise those who try it, that playing paddle tennis aspires to be the best time of the week or that in the pool you can hear how the arms seek momentum within the water is great news.

To the recognized advantages of practicing physical activity is added the value of practicing this activity with the perspective that one day, not too long ago, this was little more than a dream. We could not leave the house, we lived locked up, knowing that those who knew something knew very little.

Covid-19 changed almost everything. In these months it has been scientifically proven that doing physical activity regularly increases the defenses of the immune system. That is why DiR has championed the defense of fitness centers, convinced that activity had to be maintained. It was a way to protect ourselves from the virus and to be mentally balanced, at a time when psychic problems have soared, due to the same severity of the Covid.

“In these months it has been scientifically proven that doing physical activity regularly increases the defenses of the immune system.”

Now we have to continue working to maintain the activity, complying with all health regulations, being the most demanding in the application of control and protection systems. We have already installed the thermometers in the entrances and we would do it again as long as a technology allows us to live better.

But, and I give an example –there are many–, the effectiveness of our teams finding intelligent applications in record times would have been of little use without the positive and collaborative attitude of DiR users. The DiR family was asked to change your habits and you did it with great complicity, making things easy for us. That is why I am waiting to thank you. For months I wanted to say ‘thank you’ for being there, for the trust you have shown DiR and for how you understood all the limitations that were being implemented. But now I would also like to encourage those who have not yet been vaccinated to do so. That they do it to be protected and for the rest. For oneself and for all. In fact, if the vaccination process does not advance, we may find that, forced by Health, we have to show the vaccination certificate in all places of attendance, which would be heavy.

“I would also like to encourage those who have not yet been vaccinated to do so. That they do it to be protected and for the rest. For oneself and for all. »

The lessons that Covid-19 has left us are not minor. Now we have very clear that living in what we could say as ‘normality’ is not bad at all, especially because one day you can lose and miss. Therefore, all efforts that we can make to maintain it are welcome.

And yet another thing, which is not up for discussion today. We need physical activity to live well, to feel good, to feel well.
For all this we thank you and invite you to protect the treasure of normality, being aware of what we have. Yes, really, let’s not get distracted. Protect yourselves because Covid-19 is active and does not tire of attacking, but above all, come to DiR and have a good time. Thanks once again.
